![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Keeping in mind I still have 11 tracks to go, I think I'd be much happier to have Trigger to do the dirty work for me, then I can tweak the small stuff.Īdam, seeing that you do a lot of drum editing, do you use Trigger/DrumXchanger/Drumagog/DrumReaplacer/ProTrig/ApTrigga or do you use Reaper's native editing tools ? On the other hand, I'm seriously considering to take the plunge on Slate Trigger, the only thing holding me back is the iLok issue. I've got 11 tracks more to go, I'll definitely prefer to go your suggested way. You can easily set all the notes to be the same note in the MIDI editor too so it will play nicely with your VSTi's mapping. After that, go through and fine tune anything that needs it, select all items on the track and run "create chromatic MIDI from selected items." You will get a velocity sensitive MIDI item with all your hits at the right velocity and you don't have to leave your host or worry about tempo maps and stuff. Just run dynamic split on a snare track for example, tweak the transient settings until it's 99% right and then split. FYI you can bypass Drumtracker by using Dynamic Split in Reaper. ![]()
